Application Support Specialist


Application Support Specialist responsible for supporting, monitoring, and maintaining business applications, as well as resolving technical issues in an enterprise environment.                 

Your responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, maintaining, and supporting business applications and IT systems.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and providing support to end users in an enterprise environment.
  • Collaborating with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure system stability, incident resolution, and SLA compliance.

We are looking for you, if you have:

  • Experience Level: Mid to Senior Level (3-5 years experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Customer-oriented mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL and Release Management processes.
  • IT Service Management expertise.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Google tools (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat/Meet).
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and business processes.
  • IT Service Management expertise.
  • Self-organized to meet given SLAs

 

Languages:

  • Mandatory: English (C1)
  • Nice to have: German (B2)

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience in relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Administration expertise in MS SQL (Mgmt Studio), MySQL, PostgreSQL, PLSQL, Unix/Linux, SharePoint, MS Access.
  • SQL scripting and database administration experience.
  • Experience working in an Enterprise Network environment.
  • General knowledge of Active Directory and Firewall security.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server (2012, 2019, 2022+), MS SQL Server, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of web server technologies (Apache, IIS >7).
  • Ability to schedule and manage batch SQL database scripts.
  • Nice to have: AWS Cloud experience.
  • Nice to have: API integration experience via Mulesoft.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry or international company, especially in areas such as SHE, Facility Management, Logistics, Supply & Disposal, and Engineering/Construction
  • Familiarity with programming languages (HTML, ASP, SQL, VBA, VBS, CMD/DOS, JavaScript, Java, PowerShell, Python).
