QA Automation Engineer


We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability
of core English Language Learning platforms.


This role is hands‑on and delivery‑driven. You will be responsible for designing, implementing,
and maintaining automated test solutions across frontend and backend systems, supporting
continuous delivery of high‑quality software.


The expectation is strong ownership over quality outcomes, proactive identification of risks, and
the ability to work closely with engineering teams to ensure quality is built into the development
process.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for UI and APIs
  • Build automation using Playwright for frontend and integration testing
  • Contribute to automation frameworks, ensuring maintainability and scalability
  • Develop reusable test components and patterns
  • Define and execute test strategies across application layers (UI, API, integration)
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover functional and edge-case issues
  • Analyze requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios
  • Ensure proper test coverage for new features and changes

We are looking for you, if you have:

  • Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and API testing
  • Solid programming skills in Java (test frameworks, automation support)
  • Experience testing:
    • Web applications
    • REST APIs and service integrations
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Test design and test strategies
    • Automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end)
  • Experience with:
    • CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration
    • Version control systems (Git)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor or equivalent)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)
  • Knowledge of performance or load testing tools
  • Experience with observability and quality metrics practices
  • Experience working on large-scale, distributed systems
